We are searching for a full-time Occupational Therapist to treat in a clinic and schools in the Charlotte area.  Diagnoses range in severity, complexity, and co-morbidity, including but not limited to: Dysphagia, Autism, Down Syndrome, developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, neurological conditions, fine motor delays, gross motor delays, and sensory integration.  The qualified Occupational Therapist will also target areas of cognition, emotional regulation and activities of daily living.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

*  The Occupational Therapist will complete assessments, evaluations, and treatment of all referred patients
*  Appropriate and timely development of Plan of Care for patients served
*  Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
*  The Occupational Therapist will provide appropriate and timely documentation of progress toward goals
*  Appropriate and timely communication of patient status to members of their interdisciplinary team
*  Counsel, educate, and instruct patients and their families regarding their speech-language therapy treatment
*  The Occupational Therapist will attend patient care team meetings, IFSP & IEP Meetings, and other conferences as requested
*  Attend and participate in continuing educational programs
*  Attend and participate in mandatory in-service training
*  Comply with Federal, State, & Local laws, including HIPAA
*  Perform other duties as necessary and as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications: You will need to hold a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for the same).

We have a need for a Physical Therapist for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year working with a wonderful district in the Vancouver area. This is a full-time position running through June.

*  PT will work with students from elementary to high school at multiple school sites in close proximity to one another
*  Physical Therapist will treat students with a broad range of disabilities
*  Therapist will report directly to the Director of Special Education
*  This is a fantastic district that is very supportive of contract therapists!
*  Position will run through the end of the 2020-2021 school year

School experienced PT preferred. Therapists with strong school fieldwork experience may be considered.

Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same). Must be ESA certified.

Ford Motor Company to Make Clear N95 Masks for Better Communication

Ford is using its engineering prowess to solve a thorny coronavirus problem: Designing a medical-grade face mask that reveals wearers’ facial expressions and also allows people who are hard of hearing to read lips.  The automaker, which began producing personal protective equipment early on in the coronavirus pandemic, has developed a face mask with clear panels that also filters most airborne particles.
